JAF Executive Director, Lauren Anderson, presented our minds matter to the FCPS Student Advisory Council in November 2016 and January 2017. SAC, the Superintendent’s Student Advisory Council is composed of student representatives from every high school in the county. The council meets once a month to discuss issues affecting students and at the end of the school year presents its findings to the Fairfax County School Board. Lauren presented the our minds matter program and activities in an effort to spread the program; both presentations were well-received by students and following the presentations, SAC students helped start minds matter clubs at their respective high schools.
