Have you ever felt guilty or ashamed for not keepi Have you ever felt guilty or ashamed for not keeping your new year’s resolution? If the answer is yes, you’re not alone. If setting and keeping up with resolutions hasn’t worked for you so far, why don’t you try something different this year? This new year, let’s try setting INTENTIONS rather than RESOLUTIONS. How are they different? Resolutions tend to be clearly defined, specific, and measurable. Think of checking off a to-do-list: they’re static goals - either you achieved them or you didn’t. Intentions, on the other hand, are about being a certain way. They’re dynamic, flexible, ongoing, and in the moment. Want to learn more? Swipe left.

Content Warning: This post includes mention of foo Content Warning: This post includes mention of food, body image, and body shaming. The winter holidays often include family and loved ones coming together over food. This isn’t easy for everyone, especially for those who are recovering from an eating disorder, or those who are trying to learn a new way to relate to food (and their body), or those who are struggling with food and eating in general. No matter where you stand on the spectrum, the holidays may be full of moments, conversations, and comments that cause uncomfortable or painful feelings. If you experience anxiety around food and eating during the holiday season, you aren’t alone. Many of us are hyper aware of the influx of diet-culture messaging during this time of year about what we should or shouldn’t eat, how we should or shouldn’t move, and how we should or shouldn’t feel. OMM is not here to tell you how you “should” anything. Instead, we’re here to validate however you’re showing up around food this holiday season and provide some tips for how you can show your body some love. In need of help or support? We encourage you to celebrate all of the wins you had this year, big & small - and rest however possible.
