Thanks to all who came out to support another successful bar fundraiser for JAF, held on Thursday, November 15th at The Tavern in Great Falls, VA.   We wanted to match what was raised at our first bar fundraiser in March and thanks to generous donations, we exceeded our goal and raised over $9,000!

Over 100 people from the community enjoyed a night of food and drink, with 10% of the proceeds going to JAF.  Raffle items included a signed DC United jersey, yoga and gym memberships.  In addition two golf foursomes at Trump National Golf Club and Chantilly National Golf & Country Club were auctioned off, bringing in $1,100.

We will use these funds to implement critical mental wellness programs in local high schools and in the community.  Our next big effort includes a speaking tour of Jordan Burnham, a member of Active Minds’ Speakers Bureau and national-renowned young adult speaker on suicide prevention, to McLean HS, Langley HS, TJ and Madison HS in December.
