Mental Health Weekly recognized Our Minds Matter as one of five recipients of the Morgan Stanley Alliance for Children’s Mental Health Innovative Award. The article shares that OMM’s teen-led program was awarded $100,000 out of almost 750 applications for its “inventive and scalable solution for improving children’s mental health.”

Joan Steinberg, president of the Morgan Stanley Foundation and CEO of the Morgan Stanley Alliance for Children’s Mental Health Advisory Board, addressed the fact that only 2% of philanthropic funding supports mental health issues and the percentage is even less for youth mental health.

This funding will allow OMM to expand its teen-led club model in Fairfax County, VA. Our team is grateful to the Foundation for its tremendous award and operational support in helping our team reach more teens.
