• Ask club members to think of positive messages that they can say to themselves that demonstrate a growth mindset. Examples include the following: 
  • Remind folks that it’s not a bad thing to have anxious or negative thoughts, and that we shouldn’t try to ignore them. Instead, we should acknowledge them and reframe them to be helpful to us.
  • Instead of thinking: “I can’t do it.”
    • Try reframing: “I’m still learning. I’ll keep trying.”
  • Instead of thinking: “It’s too hard.”
    • Try reframing: “With more practice, it will get easier.”
