- Learn about the different supports and resources available in the school in order to increase self-advocacy skills
- Have fun in a festive way while learning about the importance of resource awareness
- Prior to the meeting, ensure that all selected staff have the appropriate signage outside their door.
- Club members work in pairs or small groups to solve a series of clues related to mental health resources and other sources of support available in their school building.
- As they “trick-or-treat” around the school campus, they see the signs and learn about the ways different staff support student health and wellness.
- Candy and snacks should be provided to staff that are participating to give to students as they solve the scavenger hunt clues.
- Leave by their door if staff are unavailable.

- The clues provided may be used within any school building. However, we recommend adding some clues that are unique to your school and staff members to help club members become aware of available resources.
- Make sure you are aware of any allergies when selecting treats for your scavenger hunt.
- Let resource staff know that students will be going around the building in advance so they are prepared to talk to the students if they are free at that time.
