The Joshua Ball was a great success!
The Josh Anderson Foundation’s first formal fall fundraiser was held at Top of the Town in Arlington, VA on October 23rd, 2014. 150 JAF supporters gathered to celebrate the foundation’s accomplishments in mental health awareness education!
We were lucky to have guest speakers Jack Saunders, a senior at McLean High school, and Rebecca Deeds, daughter of Virginia State Senator Creigh Deeds, share their personal experiences with mental health issues and suicide, both illuminating the need for mental health awareness and mental health care reform. Gillian Anderson closed the event with a musical tribute dedicated to her brother Josh.
Thanks to those who sponsored the event, bid on the silent auction items and contributed to the donation call, we reached our goal of $35,000!
