April 29 – May 3, 2013: Laugh More, Stress Less at Patch American High School

We are excited to share that the Laugh More, Stress Less campaign is not only impacting students in the US, but overseas!  Facing the same AP and final exam schedule as their US counterparts, the students at the Patch American School benefited from a week focused on stress management and the benefits of laughter.

Their PTO president is from the Northern Virginia area and contacted Lauren after hearing of the campaign’s success at McLean HS last year.  JAF was pleased to send over almost 1,000 Laugh More buttons as well as stress management/benefits of laughter postcards.

Knowing their students face additional challenges from living overseas due to their parent’s deployment in the military, the PTO has been focused this year on raising student awareness on a variety of issues: suicide prevention, domestic violence, bully and cyber-bully prevention and alcohol/drug abuse – see article in local paper.
