We work alongside teens and schools to build communities where mental health conversations are led by young people themselves. This video offers a glimpse into our work, with footage from our Teen Leader Summit.⁠

This Mental Health Action Month, we’ve had a goal to raise $40,000 to deepen and expand our work so that even more teens have access to peer support, mental health resources, and the chance to lead change in their schools and communities.⁠

On March 7th, 2026, OMM hosted an in-person Teen Leader Summit, providing a safe space for teens to connect, share ideas, sharpen their leadership skills, practice self-care, and leave with a clear plan of action to make an impact for mental health at the individual and systemic levels. More than 50 OMM teen leaders from across the DC-metro region came together to shift the narrative around teen mental health from fragility to something much more accurate: Teens are capable when they are empowered, supported, and connected to a strong network of peers and trusted adults.
